| Chris came home today with a big boquet of red roses in a vase (which is a good thing cause I don't have a vase big enough for a boquet.) Isn't he sweet? They are so pretty! He said he looked for tulips but you can't find them at this time of year. He also got me a green tea asian pear snapple. I'm still not sure if I like it or not...I put the roses on top of the TV because at the moment it is the only place the cat hasn't learned how to get to. He's started jumping on the cabinets but a couple more times of being caught and I don't think he will anymore. Chris also got me a dresser (finally). I think he got tired of the clothes being all over the floor because we don't have any place to put them (and I refuse to hang up my sweaters.) Oh, in case you were wondering we ended up just going out to the Olive Garden for dinner for our anniversary. I liked the soup but I still miss Lazzie's soup. I could really go for some tortalini soup right now...I wonder if they would give me the recipe? Geeze! what was that sound? I think we've got a bit of Oklahoma wind tonight. I keep hearing sounds like metal being bent or rubbing against metal from outside. The only thing I can think of that it would be is the play ground across the street. It is a really terrible sound. And the wind... it sounds like a great track for a haunted house or something though. All we need is a wolf howl (which I'm sure Chris would be happy to provide ) | | |
| So tommorrow is our one year anniversary....any cheap (read: free) romantic ideas I can do without leaving the house? I don't want to drive on the ice any more than I have to.... As for updates, we bought a new car, and yes it's an El Camino. It is also in really awesome condition. There is no rust (except on the windshield wipers) and the interior is almost perfect (the carpet is a little worn and there is one small crack on the dash) The radio and cig lighter don't work though Chris thinks they're just not hooked up or a fuse needs replaced. The payments are really cheap, about $160. Which is really cool. But that probably means if we ever want to eat out again I should get a job. Blah. I need one anyway. One of the other guys wife works in the BX maybe I'll work there... I wonder if the club is hiring waitresses. Do you think they'll let me work only in the morningish.... I want to be home when Chris is home. (Nights and weekends) I don't want a job where I have to work on the weekends anymore. Any ideas? Anyone know where to go to get help finding a job on base? I really don't want to have to leave base. The roads are scary. Anywho that''s really all the news I have for now. | | |

Not everyone in the military is lucky enough to have a wife or family members that send them care packages. Help make sure they all get something to smile about while they are defending our freedom. | | |
| I made two new friends at the final nanowrimo meeting. It was fun. We sat around, ate, and some of us read our stories. I read the part of mine that I could salvage from a disc I made before my computer died and I read my short short story that I had you all read earlier. Anyway I told everyone at the meeting to check out my site so I've been trying to do some major updating. Unfortunately a lot of the stuff I want to update is on the dead computer...blah. But I did update my links page! It looks pretty now! Yayies! Go look! Now! Meep! Anywho it's about bed time. As soon as Chris finishes the icon for Shadow Street and I get it scanned and stuffies I'm going to bed. | | |
| Well out of Dice, Echo and I it seems none of us are doing to well lately. Chris and I have two new nintendo ds' and lovely chargers to go with them...at least we did. Hades decided that eating those cords sounded like a great idea....we beat him with the first one when he chewed through it a couple of days ago, and today he decided to tackle the second one. Well those nasty cords won't be bothering him anymore... He killed them good. *sigh* so now if the ds's go dead then we can't charge them...until we go buy a new one. We kinda thought we were done spending money for a while though. Oh well. | | |
